How to cook it

  1. Cook the green beans in a large pan of lightly salted boiling water for 6 to 8 minutes, until just tender, then drain. A bag of frozen extra-fine beans does the job just as well on a busy evening.

  2. Use 5% fat steaks haches, the usual pack of four 100 g steaks, or shape 400 g of 5% mince into four patties. Season both sides with the rest of the salt and the pepper.

  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in a frying pan over a high heat and cook the steaks 2 to 3 minutes a side for pink in the middle, or 4 minutes a side for well done.

  4. Meanwhile warm the remaining oil with the garlic in a second pan for 30 seconds, toss in the beans and the parsley and stir for a minute or two.

  5. Serve the steaks with the beans straight away, while both are hot.
