  1. Cube the potato and carrot, quarter the tomato, and quarter the onion.

  2. Combine the chicken drumsticks and water in a large pot and bring to a boil, skimming off any foam.

  3. Reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook 20 minutes.

  4. Add the potato, carrot, and onion, and simmer 20 minutes more.

  5. Add the tomato and simmer until all the vegetables are tender and the broth is sweet, about 15 minutes.

  6. Season with the salt.

  7. Ladle into bowls and serve hot.
