  1. Heat the oven to 400F and line a baking sheet with foil.

  2. Pat the drumsticks dry, toss with the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt and pepper, and arrange them on the sheet.

  3. Bake 25 minutes, then brush generously with barbecue sauce.

  4. Bake 15 minutes more, brushing with more barbecue sauce halfway, until the chicken reaches 165F and the glaze is sticky.
