How to cook it

  1. Toss the sliced steak with the chili powder, cumin, minced garlic, the juice of one lime, and salt.

  2. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over high heat and sear the steak until browned, about 4 minutes, then remove.

  3. Add the remaining oil and cook the sliced peppers and onions until charred at the edges and tender, about 8 minutes.

  4. Return the steak to the pan and toss everything together for 1 minute.

  5. Warm the flour tortillas until soft and pliable.

  6. Serve the sizzling steak and peppers with the tortillas and remaining lime wedges.
