How to cook it

Cook the diced onion and garlic in a large pan over medium heat until soft, about 5 minutes.

Add the pork mince and cook, breaking it up, until browned, about 8 minutes.

Stir in the grated potato, chicken stock, cinnamon, and cloves, and simmer until thickened, about 15 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper and cool completely.

Heat the oven to 375F, line a pie dish with one pie crust, fill with the cooled meat mixture, and top with the second crust, sealing and trimming the edges.

Brush with beaten egg, cut a few vents, and bake until deeply golden, about 45 minutes.
