How to cook it

  1. Heat the oven to 375F and lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish.

  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up, about 7 minutes, then drain the fat.

  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and water and simmer 3 minutes until thickened.

  4. Spread half the corn chips in the baking dish, top with the seasoned beef and half the cheddar, then scatter the remaining corn chips and cheddar over the top.

  5. Bake until the cheese is melted and bubbling, about 12 minutes.

  6. Top with diced tomato, shredded lettuce, sour cream and salsa just before serving, so the chips stay crisp.
