Whisk the flour, yeast, sugar, cardamom and salt together in a bowl, then stir in the warm milk, warm water and melted butter to form a soft dough.

Knead 8 minutes until smooth and elastic, then cover and let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour until doubled.
