How to cook it
-
Finely chop the onion, tomato, capsicum and green chili, small enough to cook through in the few minutes the noodles take.
-
Heat the oil in a wide pan, add the onion and green chili and cook 2 minutes until soft, then add the tomato, capsicum and peas with the red chili powder and cook 3 minutes until the tomato breaks down.
-
Pour in the water, empty the tastemaker from all 4 packets into it and bring it to a boil. The tastemaker is already salted, so add no salt.
-
Break each noodle cake in half, drop the pieces into the boiling water and cook 2 minutes, loosening the strands with a fork, until the noodles are tender and most of the water has thickened into a masala coating.
-
Turn off the heat, fold the cilantro through and eat at once, because the noodles keep drinking the liquid and turn stodgy as they sit.
