How to cook it

  1. Heat the oil in a large pot and cook the diced onion, garlic, carrot, and celery until soft, about 6 minutes.

  2. Add the beef mince and cook, breaking it up, until browned, about 8 minutes.

  3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste, season with salt and pepper, and simmer uncovered until thickened, about 25 minutes.

  4. Meanwhile boil the spaghetti according to the packet directions, then drain.

  5. Toss the spaghetti through the sauce and serve topped with grated parmesan.
